Description
This is a short probe that can be either added to the MWD tool string or integrated into an MWD-specific probe. When added to the tool string, length adjustments on critical alignments to the BHA can be made with ease. Once unlocked, the length can be adjusted to the required length, then relocked in place. With this module, it makes it easier to work on adjusting for small BHA changes from recuts and other BHA repairs.
Integrating this probe into the specific MWD probe or run as a separate module can reduce the number of spacer or pony subs required. Using this tool will reduce the confusion of mixing up BHA components and accidental misalignments.
