Description
Pulse Directional Technologies MWD Gamma Sensor is an industry-standard ruggedised MWD sensor. It can be seamlessly connected directly to other MWD tools or can be used as a separate module.
The ruggedised high-temperature photomultiplier and crystal scintillator, combined with PDT’s control board, are constructed to withstand the harshest environments.

Applications
- Conventional Drilling.
- Vertical, directional and horizontal drilling.
- Unconventional Drilling.
- Coal Bed Methane/ coal seam gas.
- Mining/degasification and delineation of fields.
- Logging While Tripping.
Features & Benefits
- Fully enclosed chassis for greater shielding from external electrical noise.
- Optimised crystal volume for better detector sensitivity.
- Assembly designed for easy maintenance of the detector.
- Optimised and integrated shock absorption for detector assembly.
- Low-weight assembly to reduce the effect of shock and vibration.
- Reduced number of components to minimise power consumption and improve reliability.
- Protected inputs and outputs.
- Standard length and outer diameter for easy integration into legacy gamma probes.
- MCU-controlled power supply for extreme gamma stability over temperature.
- Integrates easily into PDT’s Orbital platform for many more features.
